Bust of Roman Emperor Geta – 12K Premium Resin Sculpture Inspired by Ancient Imperial Portraiture and the History of the Severan Dynasty
Bust of Roman Emperor Geta – 12K Premium Resin Sculpture Inspired by Ancient Imperial Portraiture and the History of the Severan Dynasty
This bust represents Publius Septimius Geta (189–211 CE), a Roman emperor of the Severan dynasty. Son of Emperor Septimius Severus and brother of Caracalla, Geta ruled as co-emperor alongside his father and brother, though his reign was marked by intense rivalry and political tension.
After the death of Septimius Severus, conflict between the brothers escalated, and in 211 CE Geta was assassinated by order of Caracalla, who then attempted a damnatio memoriae, erasing Geta’s name and images from official records. Surviving portraits, however, like this bust, preserve his memory as a symbol of both the fragility of power and the artistry of Roman imperial portraiture.
Our 12K premium resin edition recreates this historic bust with fine detail, perfect for collectors of Roman history, imperial art, and classical sculpture.
