Son of Emperor Septimius Severus and brother of Caracalla, Geta ruled as co-emperor alongside his father and brother, though his reign was marked by intense rivalry and political tension. After the death of Septimius Severus, conflict between the brothers escalated, and in 211 CE Geta was assassinated by order of Caracalla, who then attempted a damnatio memoriae, erasing Geta’s name and images from official records.
